Alexandria, Va.- Sixteen year old, Jholie Moussa, who had been missing for two weeks has now been found dead. Moussa, left her home on the afternoon of January 12th shortly after chatting with an unknown man on Snapchat. Jholie rushed out the home telling her twin sister Zhane that she would be right back. A few hours later, around 8pm, a strange text came in from Moussa’s phone telling Zhane that she was heading to a party in Norfolk. Norfolk is three hours away from Alexandria. It is unclear if Moussa sent the message or if it was someone else that had her phone.
The sisters were very close and never spent more than 24 hours apart. They even share the same infinity tattoo. Below they are pictured with their mom. Jholie is pictured on the right.
Syreeta Steward, Moussa’s mother, reported the teen missing after she didn’t return home. Fairfax County police entered Jholie into the database as a runaway juvenile. Steward says that would be out of character for her daughter. The 10th grader was an honor-roll student and never had a history of running away.
The body of the missing teen was found two weeks later in a Mount Vernon area park, Woodlawn park, which is less than a mile away from the teens place of residence. The body was discovered by cops around 11 am Friday January 26th, covered in leaves and debris.
The missing teens death is now being investigated as a homicide.
